INT. HISTORIAN'S OFFICE - DAY Alex, Sam, and Robin are hunched over a dusty map of England. The historian, a grumpy man with spectacles, is pacing in front of them. Historian (irritated)
Historian: I say, why do you three insist on getting involved in England's succession crisis? It’s a morass!
Alex: Because it’s fascinating, like solving a big puzzle!
Robin: Or like playing a complicated game of chess.
Sam: Like a game of chess, but with swords and sieges.
Historian: I’ll have you know, these are serious matters, not games!
Panel 2
EXT. TOWN SQUARE - DAY The historian and the three friends are in the town square. The town is deserted except for a few curious townsfolk. Historian (over shoulder) Historian (to townsfolk)
Historian: Look, if you want to get in trouble, go here.
Historian: He’s meddling again!
Robin: But look at the town! It’s like a fairytale kingdom, but with more sword fights!
Panel 3
INT. TOWN HOUSE - NIGHT The historian is frantically writing in his journal while Alex, Sam, and Robin are sitting on a couch, sipping tea. Historian (frustrated) Robin (laughs)
Historian: I should have known you three would get into it!
Alex: Oh, but it’s so much fun! Like an adventure!
Sam: Adventure and a lot of headaches!
Historian: I can’t believe I’m losing sleep over this!
Robin: That’s funny. It’s like you’re the king, and we’re your courtiers!

EXT. TOWN SQUARE - NIGHT The historian storms off, with Alex, Sam, and Robin following in a somewhat playful manner. The townsfolk watch in amusement. Historian (shouting) Alex (laughs) Sam (nodding)
Historian: I’ll find you all and deal with this properly!
Alex: Sounds like a plan, sir!
Sam: Perfectly arranged!
